I did’t get around to posting yesterday, sorry.

I’m currently making  a cardigan for Gavin.  This is the picture from the pattern.

I’m done with the knitting for the body, I’m adding a hood.  I may have to rework the hood as my first attempt came…short.  I may, if I have enough yarn, add pockets.

Making this ^ with this:

I am learning hairpin lace, I am glad I am, but I’m not sold on it as a technique yet. It is a tad fiddly.

I am still working on socks I have no pictures for and my sweater. I have finished a scarf, but I’m not ready to show that one yet 😉

UPDATE! I totally for got to post the picture of my new earring frame!

I had the frame and used some leftover sock yarn and I even had the staples to put it all together!  I saw this on Pinterest a while back and have been wanting to do it, when I found some extra frames I set to work.

With the start of a new round at one of my Ravelry groups, the WIP are multiplying faster then tribbles.  This is the third time knitting this, because I am developing a pattern for it.

Next is another pair of socks.  Who are they for? Who knows yet. (sorry no pics of them yet).  I am making a leafy scarf from the home spun I showed last week.  I have also started a new sweater, here are my gathered materials.

I have a few other ideas, but this is just what I have started.

Good Monday morning to all!  I hope every one has had a great week!

We got to play in mud-actually clay!  Once when I was 13 or 14 I made home made clay from the clay I found in my parents back yard.  Gavin heard of this and demanded we try.

Removing the stones

Here are Gavin and I are removing the bigger stones.  This is quite a long process to get to just the good clay, so stay tuned for more pictures to come.

Gavin started soccer this week and is loving it!

We went to my favorite yarn and fiber shop in the country; The Fold!  Wile I was looking at all the yummy things, Gavin and Tim went to look for Toni’s sheep.  When I finished up, I realized they had been gone for quite awhile.  This is what I found!

I don’t have a lot in the way of WIP right now, but come next week it should really pick up!

Back about two months ago I won some fiber from one of my Ravelry groups.  I received some lovely red with muti-clored pieces, of unknown content.  I also got some extremely rare CVM or Romeldale, California Variegated Mutant.  Well they had me at Mutant!  It has lovely tight crimp, and is very fine.  I got the fleece raw and washed it.  I carded it picking out the lightest going to darkest. I spun it the same way, making a gradient through the whole skein.

I left all the broken and miscolored little bits to make it sluby and tweedy.

This fleece is known for its softness, and wearablity next to the skin.  I believe that this yarn wants to be a lacy scarf, stay tuned to see if it will!

I know I go on ad nauseum about socks.  So just a picture.

See?!?!  Now if only you could feel them on!  They are Horseshoe cable socks from Judith Durant in the book 101 Designer One-Skein Wonders.  I used Marks & Kattens Fame Trend.  Lets take another look…

I am also working on a test knit for a fellow Raveler.  I can’t show progress right now but soonish I will be able to share.
